Planning is very, very important…

So yeah, I’m still doing this.

I know it’s been a few days since I last posted anything, and that most of the people reading this think I’ve already grown tired and stopped, but as it turns out there’s a lot of planning involved in something like this. Thankfully I have the greatest pieces of planning equipment known to man; a cork board and post-it notes. Call me crazy, but in an age of technology I still somehow find it easier to collect my thoughts on paper in front of me. Locations, characters, objects, puzzles, all way easier for me to process when written down.

Several hours later I have a cork board with a single post-it in the middle labeled “Room 1” – imagine how little I’d have accomplished if I was left to my own devices planning on a computer instead. Still, a single room game isn’t a horrible idea, I can get the ball rolling with a short game and work to expand my scope on future projects.

I know this post started as me talking about planning out the stages of the game; but ultimately it has turned into a short post for me to justify creating a small, one room, game. This is what happens when I decide 4am is the time to write insignificant content for the site.
